“Let’s Protect Each Other”
aims to encourage viewers to have a conversation about feminism, as witch hunts still exist in the 21st century among cultures most fearful of change. This tarot card design for the Strength card features a female Lion (a symbol that represents majesty and strength) being hugged and receiving the protection reciprocated from the Wiccan witch in England

Originated in England, Wiccan beliefs are rooted in nature worship and witchcraft. In covens (small communities of witches) Wiccan witches work together to master the practice of peaceful magic and ritual. This reimagined design for the Strength tarot card features the national animal of England, the Lion. However, the decision to feature a lioness was made to support feminism and bring awareness to the fact that witch hunts still exist in the 21st century among cultures most fearful of change. Witch hunts primarily targeted women as witch hunts were originally created by a patriarchy terrified of older women. Tarot cards were used from the mid-15th century in various parts of Europe. In the late 18th century, some tarot decks began to be used for divination through tarot card reading which led to custom decks developed for occult purposes. Upright the Strength card represents strength, determination and power as much as it emphasizes persistence and patience. It speaks to the inner strength and the human spirit's ability to overcome any obstacle.
